Options:

A. Protestants recognized the pope’s authority, while Catholics did not.

B. Protestants opposed the sale of indulgences, while Catholics did not.

C. Catholics supported constitutional monarchy, while Protestants did not.

D. Catholics practiced both infant and adult baptism, while Protestants did not.

Answer:

B. Protestants opposed the sale of indulgences, while Catholics did not.

Explanation:

The Protestant Reformation took place in the 16th century, but before that, thinkers already condemned church practices, such as the English theologian John Wycliffe (1320-1384) and the Czech philosopher Jan Huss (1369-1415). Wycliffe wanted the church to limit itself to spiritual matters, leaving politics to the state. Huss started a movement based on Wycliffe's ideas and opposed the sale of indulgences and the wealth of the clergy.

On page 13, the author says that the Tlaxcalan leaders joined the Spanish conquistadors. What does this suggest about the relati
Harrizon [31]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Unfortunately, you forgot to include the information about page 13, or the excerpt of the text so we could know what is this about. We do not know what was n page 13, just you know it.

However, trying to help you we can comment based on our knowledge of this topic.

The Tlaxcalan leaders joined the Spanish conquistadors. What this suggests about the relationship between the Tlaxcalans and the Aztecs was that teh Tlaxcalans were enemies of teh Aztecs.

And this is correct because the Aztecs were great warriors that wage war and took prisoners. The Great Aztec Empire was a dominant one, and force other Mesoamerican Indian tribes to pay tribute. So we can say that those other small tribes or less powerful tribes had to pay tribute if they wanted to be on peaceful terms with the Aztecs.

That is why the Tlaxcalans and other tribes such as teh Chilollans decide to join forces with Hernan Cortés and teh Spanish conquerors. Together, they showed strong opposition to the Aztecas. And that was a good advantage, considered that the Spanish conquerors had horses, spades, blades, and fire weapons that impressed the Native Indians.

Which of the following was legal under slave codes?
Dominik [7]

Answer:

Slavery and enslavement are both the state and the condition of being a slave,[1][2] who is someone forbidden to quit their service for another person (a slaver), while treated as property.[3] Slavery typically involves the enslaved person being made to perform some form of work while also having their location dictated by the slaver. Historically, when people were enslaved, it was often because they were indebted, or broke the law, or suffered a military defeat, and the duration of their enslavement was either for life or for a fixed period of time after which freedom was granted.[4] Individuals, then, usually became slaves involuntarily, due to force or coercion, although there was also voluntary slavery to pay a debt or obtain money for some purpose. In the course of human history, slavery was a typical feature of civilization,[5] and legal in most societies, but it is now outlawed in all countries of the world, except as punishment for crime.[6][7]
