Magma then oozes up from the mantle to fill in the space between the plates, forming a raised ridge called a mid-ocean ridge. The magma also spreads outward, forming new ocean floor and new oceanic crust. When two continental plates diverge, a valleylike rift develops.

Why ethnicity will continue to contribute to local diversity even as other cultural elements become globalized?
algol13

Answer: Because even in such circumstances, ethnic groups will contribute to the integration of a particular culture into the community.

Explanation:

  • No modern society is isolated from the emergence of the involvement of a particular ethnic group from outside, which have, in different ways, become a reality and found their place in a specific society. Sometimes these are historical circumstances that have contributed to the emergence of a particular ethnic minority for a specific area. Today, as globalization is gaining in importance, ethnic minorities have become the reality of every modern society. Emancipated individuals of these minorities find their place in society and become equal members of the wider community, at least in democratic societies. Some members of these ethnic minorities are more or less assimilated into society, but still, retain some aspects of the tradition and history of their ethnic group. In such circumstances, a phenomenon known as multiculturalism is created.
  • This model of integration implies equality of all cultures within one society, embracing diversity, defining the relationship between the state and different social groups, and the relationship between minority groups and the majority population. This phenomenon is, as stated above, characteristic of modern, civilized European societies because different conventions protect the rights of minorities, and those states that seek to enrich their cultures are happy to accept diversity, especially if members of the ethnic minority are useful members of society. Therefore, even in the process of globalism, minority ethnic groups in certain circumstances and political and legal frameworks can significantly contribute to the diversity and richness of society.

Define sociology of culture can you write 4 paragraph
iogann1982 [59]
The sociology of culture, and the related cultural sociology, concerns the systematic analysis of culture, usually understood as the ensemble of symbolic codes used by a member of a society, as it is manifested in the society.

Among sociologists, “culture” just as often refers to the beliefs that people hold about reality, the norms that guide their behavior, the values that orient their moral commitments, or the symbols through which these beliefs, norms, and values are communicated.

Culture encompasses human elements beyond biology: for example, our norms and values, the stories we tell, learned or acquired behaviors, religious beliefs, art and fashion, and so on.

Sociology of culture is important because culture influences people's beliefs and behaviors, culture is a key concept to the sociological perspective. Many sociologists are wary of biological explanations of behavior, in part because these explanations implicitly support the status quo and may be used to justify claims of biological inferiority.
