Spleen produces immune cells and also removes old red blood cells from blood. When lymphatic tissue is arranged in an area it forms the lymph nodes. Lymph passes through it on its way back to blood. Tonsils are set of lymphoid organs towards the aerodigestive tract. Adenoid is a lymphatic tissue high in the throat behind the nose. It is very prominent in children but starts to shrink after 5 years of age. Liver generally does not have lymphatic tissue.
