"Hate Poem" by Juli Sheehan and Is "My Team Ploughing?" by A. E. Housman are both pretty fun and short reads. One an example of a modern, no name poet, and another of a big time Victorian Era poet. Just pick one and write down your immediate reaction. Pick excerpts of you like and explain why you like them. Your fondness for anything follows some rationale, so, in the third person, support that rationale. You will have more than enough to write and I have no doubt that you'll exceed one paragraph. Hope this helped.

I am not going to give you an essay but here is how to write it:
1. pick a poem that interests you and you can talk about. if its one that you can just say 1 sentence about, dont choose it
2. first make an outline. work on your thesis statement, and write down the main idea of your poem
3. write this all in sentence form, edit it, and you got yourself a good and decent essay!

How did the author’s father feel when he read her story at the end of ""Only Daughter""?
e-lub [12.9K]

Answer:

The authors father felt pride in her work.

Explanation:

Sandra Cisneros was the author and her purpose was to describe her experience as an only daughter in a Mexican-American family and how it had impacted her life. Sandra Cisneros shares her experiences being alone all the time, trying to be noticed as "a writer, not just as a teacher", and always searching for her father's approval. This isolation enabled Cisneros to become a writer motivated by the desire to make her father proud.

So her father was very proud of her works after all that she struggled with.
