In a paragraph of at least three sentences, explain the mood of this excerpt from Little Brother. Provide details from the text

to support your answer. We felt it first, that sickening lurch of the cement under your feet that every Californian knows instinctively—*earthquake*. My first inclination, as always, was to get away: "when in trouble or in doubt, run in circles, scream and shout." But the fact was, we were already in the safest place we could be, not in a building that could fall in on us, not out toward the middle of the road where bits of falling cornice could brain us. Earthquakes are eerily quiet—at first, anyway—but this wasn't quiet. This was loud, an incredible roaring sound that was louder than anything I'd ever heard before. The sound was so punishing it drove me to my knees, and I wasn't the only one. Darryl shook my arm and pointed over the buildings and we saw it then: a huge black cloud rising from the northeast, from the direction of the Bay.

The mood of this paragraph is so moody-no pun intended- so dark and mysterious. It almost makes you engrossed into this character's feelings. You feel that bottomless pit in his stomach, you almost hear his hear beating out of his chest. Everything in this gives you almost a hurried pace to it, almost like that feeling you get in the movies when something spectacular is happening but everything is completely silent-not one character talking-only your own interpretation of their thoughts-their feelings.

Given a non-empty string s and a dictionary containing a list of unique words, design a dynamic programming algorithm to determi
nlexa [21]
Let s(i),k denote the substring s(i)s(i+1)...s k. Let Opt(k) denote whether the sub-string s1,k can be segmented using the words in the dictionary, namely (k) =1 if the segmentation is possible and 0 otherwise. A segmentation of this sub-string s1,k is possible if only the last word (say si  k) is in the dictionary theremaining substring s1,i can be segmented.
Therefore, we have equation:Opt(k) =                    max                       Opt(i)          0<i<k and s(i+1),kis a word in the dictionary
We can begin solving the above recurrence with the initial condition that Opt(0) =1 and then go on to comput eOpt(k) for k= 1, 2. The answer correspond-ing to Opt(n) is the solution and can be computed in Θ(n2) time.
