The New Freedom was Wilson´s campaign platform during the 1912 presidential election. It was an opposition to the New Nationalism proposed by the other party candidate, Theodore Roosevelt.
Once he was in Office he focused on three types of reforms, tariffs, business, and banking. By doing that reforms he passed a significant amount of progressive legislation, affecting not only economic affairs but also different types of workers, militaries and even conservationists.
