Do you think imperialists who wanted to spread western culture were arrogant or we'll meaning

History

OLEGan [10]3 years ago

I believe western cultures were arrogant. While they had "well meaning" justifications for spreading their culture, the root of it was arrogance. Each western country was in a competition to colonize the most land. The more colonies you had, the more powerful you were. Colonies gave them raw materials, which they desperately wanted for their economies. In fact, when western countries colonized, the colony's old economy typically collapsed, such as when Great Britain colonized India. Yes, they used Social Darwinism and "survival of the fittest" as justifications, tricking the colonies into believing it would help them, however, the true benefits were for the imperialist.

the American victory at Saratoga was the greatest loss that the british had ever suffered? true or false
olga2289 [7]

Answer:   <em>True</em>

Explanation:

"The Battle of Saratoga in <em>1777</em>" was a defining moment in "the Revolutionary War". "American powers encompassed and vanquished the British" armed force under "General Hohn Burgoyne at Saratoga in New York State". So this made the best misfortune for the British that had ever endured.

"The Battles of Saratoga" ("from September 19 and October 7, 1777") was set apart as the peak of the "Saratoga crusade". As a general rule, Britain may well have won the war. But, the fight for "New York in 1776 gave England a fantastic open door" for a definitive triumph. So this made the British to hold its defeat.
