1. Made it benefit and develop from trade.

2. Traders wanted to trade in Persia

3. The location possessed great natural resources such as salt, rhinoceros horns, tortoise shells, ivory, emeralds, and gold.

4. Aksum was able to trade these objects for copper, cloth, glass, olive oil, wine, brass, and iron.

5. Aksum had access to Mediterranean Sea and Indian Ocean which allowed it to become an international trading power that was visited from several nations.
