Tradition or cel animation is consider the older form of animation. They have to draw frame by frame to create a sequence. Animators usually had to test the sequence in a draft to see how many frames would it take. This made it tough and expensive

Now animation can be done in 2D using a computer, this means characters, environments, visual effects and all is done using this technique. Before the computer animation was done taking photographs of drawings, as we explain in the previous paragraph. Cels were created after placing each photograph on transparent acetate. With this method, they had to draw several images; it was exhausting work. Nowadays with computers, this job is done by a software, but you still need drawing skills.

Of course, you can now secure your work as you can do and undo as many times as you want, because everything is saved and can be easily loaded.

Anyway it is necessary to work hard and train to know the programs and their possibilities, tools, and curves. That way is easier to show your own  technical and artistic skills.

Although there is currently a greater use of technology, in a fully industrialized society, and with it the development of Digital Animation, there is always the debate of which is better? Digital Animation or Cartoons, although cartoons is a precursor to digital animation, there are people who consider that this type of animation is much better than today's digital animation.

TRADITIONAL ANIMATION:

The Animated Cartoon is a visual or audiovisual sequence if sound is added to it, an animation obtained by drawing by hand each of the frames that constitute it, which generates the sequence, that is, a representation of moving images. Since the three dimensions are increasingly developed in film and television, cartoons, which are traditionally in two dimensions, are also called 2D animation, traditional animation or classical animation.

DIGITAL ANIMATION:

Digital Animation is the technique that consists of creating moving images through the use of computers or computers. For animations, objects are modeled on the computer and the figures are joined with a virtual skeleton, for example to create a face in the body, eyes, mouth, of the character are modeled and later animated with animation controllers, and finally, the animation is rendered.
