I hypothesize that the plants that are the closest to the window are growing at a faster rate due to the amount of sunlight it may have been receiving. Therefore, I predict that the more sunlight a plant receives the faster it may grow.

(I do not actually think this. I just hope this helps you)

Answer:

The correct answer will be- If exposed to sunlight, plants grow faster than non exposed plants.

Explanation:

A scientific hypothesis is a predicted idea proposed which explains the natural event to a limited extent. A hypothesis is based on the previous research work on the same issue, therefore, it is even considered an educated guess.

A hypothesis is designed in a way that it could be tested so it should contain all the variables a well as it could explain the possibility of the scientific question.

In the given question, the person noticed that plants grew faster in sunlight so the hypothesis will be- If exposed to sunlight, plants grow faster than non exposed plants. Here the growth of the plant will be the dependent variable while sunlight will be the independent variable.
