Explanation:

According to the story of Beowulf, a giant monster Grendel is angered by the singing and jubilation of the Danes at Heorot so he attacks them at night and kills many men.

However, Beowulf hears of this and decides to sail to Denmark to help. While he is in Heorot, Grendel attacks once again and Beowulf fights and defeats him with his bare hands and rips his arm off and Grendel goes home to die.

Grendel's mother attacks as a revenge and after a successful attack, she takes Grendel's arm with her, Beowulf goes after her and enters the haunted lake where he fights with her and finds out his sword can't penetrate her skin, he uses a giant sword to kill her, then beheads Grendel and takes it back to the King of Denmark.

Eventually he returns to his country and becomes king and rules for fifty years.
