English

Mind reading, filtering, derailing, judging, and placating are five factors that can hamper and effective communication. Mind reading is when a person assumes to know what the other is thinking about without even bothering to ask the person; filtering is when a person seems to listen but is clearly ignoring some points of the discussion; derailing is when a person suddenly changes the topic of discussion; judging is when a person is too quick to evaluate the other person without even trying to understand how the person feels; and placating is when a person agrees to quickly without even thinking about his decisions.

These are all blockages to an effective communication which can lead to conflicts and problems to be left unsolved.

The cafeteria selection in your high school is limited. The school is looking into adding vegetarian and dairy-free selections t
Usimov [2.4K]

Answer:

i do not think the cafe should expand the menu because some kids have a hard enough time paying or their food without having to pay more. in the U.S. many families face money troubles. If the prices are raised some kids won't be able to eat because they can not afford it. this will raise the rate of child deaths. Approximately 3.1 million children die to poor food and starvation.

Some people may not be able to eat the school foods but they can find something else or bring something from home. its not fair kids have to suffer for the benefit of few others. I have gone through this first hand. the lunch price in my school was raised do to an expanded menu because one kid in the entire school needed it. I had a hard time affording food. i have 9 siblings so it was hard for all of us to eat. we didnt have the money to bring food from home.

Is the battle of Britain as important today as its was in the past
Anon25 [30]
Answer:
Yes it is important today as it was in the past.

Explanatio:

Britain's victory in the Battle of Britain demonstrated the courage and resilience of the country's military and its people and allowed them to remain free from Nazi occupation. It also enabled the Americans to establish a base of operations in England to invade Normandy on D-Day in 1944.

Oh and whats special about it is that The battle was the first to be fought solely in the air—and it decided the fate of Great Britain during World War II. The battle was the first to be fought solely in the air—and it decided the fate of Great Britain during World War II.
