The answer is backing away. I at first thought it was eye contact thing but i took the test and got a 100% with picking backing away for my answer.

<span>D. Backing Away is considered rude during a conversation in Colombia, because they misinterpret it. Backing away to someone mean that you don't want to talk or you rejecting him/her and most especially it mean that you'r not respecting to someone who's talking. Until then, if you want to show some respect to other people you had better stay until the conversation is done. During conversation Colombians people are known to be expressive with their hands and face, particularly if the topic becomes lively or heated. It is important to maintaining eye contact and standing close to make them comfortable.</span>

So therefore my answer is C because if they did this then they wouldn't have very many natural resources to rely on.
