Biogeography is a part of geography that studies how living organisms are distributed on the planet. Biogeography studies not only the distribution of organisms that are currently alive, but also organisms that are already in extinction and that haven't existed for a long time, but that their fossils can be found on the Earth's surface.
For this reason, we can say that the study of biogeography includes information on the location of fossils and living organisms.
