In his inaugural address, President John F. Kennedy discusses the importance of American citizens to be committed to helping others. He argues that Americans, as heirs to that first revolution, understand the responsibilities that are passed on to them. This is the responsibility to help others and the responsibility to remain committed to the defence of human rights at home and around the world.
