F = [(9/5) * C] +32
F = [(9/5) * 18] +32
F = [32.4] + 32

Answer:

As per the statement:

The formula to convert Fahrenheit to Celsius is:

C = \frac{5}{9}(F-32)          .....[1]

where, C is the Celsius and F is the Fahrenheit.

We have to convert 18 degree Celsius to Fahrenheit.

C = 18 degree

Substitute the value of C in [1] we have;

18= \frac{5}{9}(F-32)

multiply both sides by \frac{9}{5} we have;

32.4 = F -32

Add 32 to both sides,

32.4+32 = F -32+32

Simplify:

64.4 = F

or

F = 64.4 degree

Therefore, conversion of 18 degree Celsius in Fahrenheit to the nearest degree is, 64 degree F.

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Step 1: Define</u>

f(x) = -4x² + 6x - 4

f(5) is x = 5

<u>Step 2: Evaluate</u>

  1. Substitute:                     f(5) = -4(5)² + 6(5) - 4
  2. Exponents:                    f(5) = -4(25) + 6(5) - 4
  3. Multiply:                         f(5) = -100 + 30 - 4
  4. Add:                               f(5) = -70 - 4
  5. Subtract:                        f(5) = -74

Help me please with this question
lukranit [14]

Answer:

see explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

2B + 3C

= 2 \left[\begin{array}{ccc}4&-5\\-2&1\\\end{array}\right] + 3 \left[\begin{array}{ccc}1&-1\\-6&3\\\end{array}\right]

Multiply each element in the matrices by the scalar quantity, that is

= \left[\begin{array}{ccc}8&-10\\-4&2\\\end{array}\right] + \left[\begin{array}{ccc}3&-3\\-18&9\\\end{array}\right]

Add corresponding elements from each matrix

= \left[\begin{array}{ccc}8+3&-10-3\\-4-18&2+9\\\end{array}\right]

= \left[\begin{array}{ccc}11&-13\\-22&11\\\end{array}\right]

Pierre had $42 before he paid his club dues. Evaluate the expression 42 − d for d = 25 to find how much money Pierre had left af
Step2247 [10]

Answer:

$17

Step-by-step explanation:

This is simply stated as a function.

We can rewrite this problem out as --> f(d) = -d + 42

If we simply say that he spent d, the problem states that d is equivalent to 25.

So the function looks like this --> f(d) = -25 + 42

Therefore your answer becomes --> f(d) = 17
