Industries located in cities because they needed a large labor force in a small area.
- Internal Immigration: people migrated from the countryside to urban areas to find jobs in the industries that were being established. The living conditions became hard, overcrowding and disease were common, as was poverty, but these problems did not prevent people from migrating.
