Answer:

She wanted to visit her brother.

Explanation:

According to a different source, these are the options that come with this question:

She wanted to visit her parents.

She was secretly in love with Barton.

She was running away from assassins on the Stardust.

In this story, Marilyn hides onboard an EDS (Emergency Dispatch Ship) called the Stardust. This ship is headed to the planet Woden, where Marilyn's brother lives. Marilyn has not seen her brother in over ten years, and this leads her to hide onboard the EDS. However, she has to be jettisoned as the ship does not carry enough fuel for an extra passenger.

choose a topic based on what you read in act 2 or act 3 of romeo and juliet. then write a thesis statement.
Alekssandra [29.7K]

In Act II, Scene III, of Romeo and Juliet, Romeo visits Friar Lawrence and declares his love for Juliet. He then asks the Friar if he will marry them:

I’ll tell thee as we pass, but this I pray:

That thou consent to marry us today.

The Friar is shocked that Romeo wants to marry Juliet because he claimed to be madly in love with Rosaline, a silent character in the play. In fact, Romeo was quite love-sick and it was the Friar who tried to convince Romeo to let Rosaline go because she did not reciprocate his feelings. The Friar then goes on to scold Romeo because he did not want him to abandon his love for Rosaline only to go on to fall in love with another woman. However, when he realizes that Romeo is serious about Juliet and that she reciprocates his feelings, he agrees to marry them. He also recognizes that this marriage is an opportunity for the two warring families to be reconciled:

For this alliance may so happy prove

To turn your households' rancor to pure love

How does Oscar Wilde use Algernon’s attitude to poke fun at society’s traditional rules of behavior?
Verizon [17]

Answer:

The way Oscar Wilde used Algernon’s attitude to poke fun at society’s traditional rules of behavior is:

In traditional society, Algernon would be expected to defend his aunt. Instead, he speaks freely about his feelings toward family.

Explanation:

The reasons behind this answer are that in the first place the story takes place in a context that idealized and expected people to defend his family even if what people said about them was the truth. Now, the way Wilde turns this is a very progressive one that made him a brilliant misunderstood individual because he said relationships don't know when to die.
