Example 1 would be the economy. During World War 1, farmers started taking out loans, and when the war ended, they couldn't pay it off, angering their own neighbors. 

Example 2 would be the Ku Klux Klan.This violent group caused many African Americans to be scared to go out in public, causing a social tension in the US.
