Find two "dots" where the line crosses the X and Y axis at real numbers.

(0,3) and (6,-1)

Now find the slope which is the difference in Y over the difference in x.

Slope = (-1 - 3) / (6-0) = -4 / 6 = -2/3

The answer is D.

Answer:

Step 3.

Operation error, where the sign on the number changes from -ve to +ve where shifted to the left side of the equation.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that  2(10 - 13x) + 9x = -34x + 60

<u>Step 1. Distribute</u>

20-26x+9x=-34x+60

<u>Step 2: Combine like Terms</u>

20-17x=-34x+60  -------------------------(-26x+9x = -17x)

<u>Step 3: subtraction property of equality</u>

-17x+34x=60-20--------------------- (60-20 =40)

-17x+34x=40

<u>Step 4 :Addition property of Equality</u>

-17x+34x=40-------------------(-17x+34x =17x)

17x=40

<u>Step 5: Division property of Equality</u>

17x=40

17x/17 = 40/17

x=40/17

Answer

x=40/17

<u>Errors</u>

In step 3

-17x+34x = 17 x and not 51x

In step 5

-51x=40

x=-40/51 (not the other way round, -51/40) however correct operation is supposed to be;

17x=40, hence x =40/17

Solve for x in the picture please
Nutka1998 [239]

Answer: x=1

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to find the value of "x", it is important to remember that:

Tangent\ chord\ angle=\frac{1}{2}(Intercepted\ arc)

 We can identify in the figure that:

Tangent\ chord\ angle=(43x)\°\\\\Intercepted\ arc=AB

Then:

43x=\frac{1}{2}AB

Solving for AB:

2(43x)=AB\\\\AB=86x

Now, since there are 360° in a circle, we know that:

AB+(272x+2)=360

Then we can substitute AB=86x into AB+(272x+2)=360\° and solve for "x". This is:

(86x)+(272x+2)=360\\\\358x=360-2\\\\x=\frac{358}{358}\\\\x=1
