Codons are triplets of nucleotides (Adenine, Guanine, Cytosine, and Thymine in DNA/ Uracil in RNA) that are part of the genetic code used to translate the information from DNA into proteins. All the information in the code is translated by RNA which reads the code on the DNA in triplets or codons.
So, in this case, the sequence divided into codons would look like this :

<span> AUG   CAG    GUU    CAA</span>

SIZIF [17.4K]

Darwin's finches are a traditional illustration of an adaptive radiation. Their ancestor came on the Galapagos Island about two million years ago. With time Darwin's finches have developed into fifteen different species separated on the basis of beak shape, body size, and feeding and song behavior.

The population of finches possesses the tendency of evolving rapidly in response to a changing environment. However, they can also get extinct in condition if the weather fluctuates too briskly between the dry and wet seasons. This would most likely take place due to the immigration of genes and mutations within the genes that are conducted on to the next generations.

What factor does not contribute to "water stress" on the Earth?
kotegsom [21]

Precipitation differences are the factor that does not contribute to "water stress" on the Earth.

<u>Explanation:</u>

  • Less ocean water sources, population differences, Scarcity of economic water resources are the factor which leads to water stress on the Earth.
  • Precipitation differences do not cause much difference in water stress. So it will not contribute to the water stress.
  • An increase in population will cause major water stress because availability drinking water is less in the earth. Population increase can cause a major problem.
