According to a report made by the World Bank collection of development indicators, Chile's demographic data show that 10,3% of the country's population were living in rural areas in 2016, which corresponds to approximately 1,75 milion people, as the country's total population was of 17,5 milion people in 2016, growing at an estimated rate of 1,5% per year.
