An unconscious adult victim is gasping for breath and having difficulty breathing. the scene is safe and help has been called. n
NISA [10]

An unconscious adult victim is gasping for breath and having difficulty breathing. The scene is safe and help has been called. Next you should use the head tilt chin lift procedure.

An unconscious patient is at risk of blocking their airway and suffocating. The main reason for this occurring is due to the tongue. An unconscious patient loses all their muscular tone, and this includes the tongue! The tongue can fall back and block the airway.

This situation is an emergency – without a supply of oxygen reaching the lungs, the patient will suffocate in a matter of minutes.

In CPR, we use the head-tilt, chin-lift method to open the airway.

How to Perform a Head-tilt Chin-lift :

  1. Kneel next to the patient’s head
  2. Place one hand on the patient’s forehead and tilt the head gently backward
  3. Place two fingers under the bony part of their chin and lift the chin vertically upwards
  4. Take care not to place any pressure on the soft part of the neck as this could obstruct the airway

If a cervical spine injury is suspected, then the modified jaw thrust would be used in place of "head-tilt, chin-lift". The jaw thrust is a technique used on patients with a suspected spinal injury and is used on a supine patient.

With the decision by schools to mandate vaccine does this prevent a parent from living freely? Explain your answer
Phoenix [80]

Answer:

The debates over vaccinations are often cast as arguments over the integrity of science. But they can just as easily be understood as conversations about power, writes Eula Biss, a senior lecturer at Northwestern University, in her book, On Immunity: An Inoculation. As it stands, all 50 states require specific vaccines for school-aged children, although each grants exemptions for students unable to be vaccinated for medical reasons. The power struggle—pitting parents against parents—arises in the 19 states that allow families to opt out of vaccination requirements by claiming a "philosophical exemption," whether based on personal, moral, or religious beliefs.
