Hernán Cortés was a Spanish conquistador, or conqueror, best remembered for conquering the Aztec empire in 1521 and claiming Mexico for Spain

Explanation:

Cortes was easily able to conquer the Aztecs because of three main reasons

One:  The Spanish had new large weapons that were better and stronger than anything the Aztec had.

Two: With new people coming ashore new diseases also did. More than half of the Aztec who's immune system never saw this died o  things such as smallpox

Three: Archaeologists also believe there was a volcanic eruption that destroyed the buildings and land of the Aztec.

As you can see with these three contributing factors the fall of the Aztec empire was quick and easy
