B. It marked the end of fighting in Europe-- VE Day stands for "Victory in Europe" Day which was May 8, 1945.

Victory in Europe happened after an Allied Invasion of France and land invasion into Germany. Allied forces took Berlin leading to the surrender of German troops. Victory in Europe was achieved before fighting in the Pacific which would occur in September of 1945.

Aleks [24]

This question is incomplete. Here's the complete question.

What effect does Industrialization and the Cotton gin have on Slavery?

Answer:

The cotton gin, invented in 1793 by Eli Whitney, reduced cotton´s processing time, making its large-scale cultivation more profitable. Meanwhile, the first Industrial Revolution introduced the production of cotton fabric in water-powered mills which had the American South as their main supplier.

Explanation:

The mills’ need for cotton made the prices go up, and therefore white southern farmers required more land and more slaves to meet the demand.
