The main purpose of Article I is the legislative branch of the United States.
The main function of the legislative branch is to work together to pass laws for the good of the country.
Bicameral means "two chambers", so for Congress to be bicameral, it means that Congress has two separate chambers.
The two lawmaking chambers of Congress are called The House of Representatives and the Senate.
There are 100 Senators
There are 435 Representatives
Each state gets 2 Senators (hence 50 times 2=100 Senators).
The number of Representatives depends on state population/on the number of congressional districts in a state (for example, there are 8 congressional districts in the state of Wisconsin, and so there are 8 Representatives that represent Wisconsin).
