List three effects of slavery in africa
iragen [17]
Increase amount of war occurred in West Africa. European and American slave traders didn't go into African countryside and kidnap them, they bought slaves from coastal kingdoms. Because they wanted more slaves coastal kingdoms were encouraged to cause more war and raids against their neighboring kingdoms.
The coastal kingdoms became rich and more powerful due to the fact that they were able to get guns, and plenty of other things for slaves.

Slave traid took away millions of Africans in their prime, and this disrupted the cultures off the African nations, and we're less able to progress.

Why was the ratification of the 3/5ths Compromise so important to the new nation?
fenix001 [56]

Answer:

The north had more people than the south during this time, so the south saw it as unfair because the north would receive more representatives in the house of representatives than the south, resulting in more votes for the north. So the 3/5 compromise was made to count 3/5 of the slaves so the south could receive more representatives in the house of representatives.

hope this helps :)
