"Common Sense" helped the Patriots in that this document gave the Patriots very good and reasons to support the independence movement against the British Crown.

Thomas Pain was the English man that published the pamphlet "Common Sense" in January 1776. In this document of 47 pages, Pain exposed and gave many reasons why the colonists had to support the independence from Britain. It was a document well accepted that motivate the Patriots to be part of the independence movement.
