Y=x-2+3
I put x-2 because when graphing it's the opposite so it would technically be x+2
Then the +3 for the y chords which go up by 3 ! if this is wrong then try Y= (x-2)+3

Determine the slope of the line that is perpendicular to the line y = -7x - 12.
Mnenie [13.5K]

Answer:

None of these answers are correct.

Step-by-step explanation:

Perpendicular lines have opposite and reciprocal slopes, which means that we take the slope and we flip it. After we've done that, we change the sign.

Since the original slope is -7, first we flip it and get -1/7. Now we change the sign and get 1/7. Therefore, the perpendicular slope of this line would be 1/7

The point A (5,11) is reflected across the x-axis. How long is the segment AA'?<br>
Nikitich [7]

Answer:  The required length of the segment AA' is 11 units.

Step-by-step explanation:  Given that the point A(5, 11) is reflected across the X-axis.

We are to find the length of the segment AA'.

We know that

if a point (x, y) is reflected across X-axis, then its co-ordinates becomes (x, -y).

So, after reflection, the co-ordinates of the point A(5, 11) becomes A'(5, -11).

Now, we have the following distance formula :

The DISTANCE between two points P(a, b) and Q(c, d) gives the length of the segment PQ as follows :

PQ=\sqrt{(c-a)^2+(d-b)^2}.

Therefore, the length of the segment AA' is given by

AA'=\sqrt{(5-5)^2+(-11-11)^2}=\sqrt{11^2}=11.

Thus, the required length of the segment AA' is 11 units.

B & C would be your answer because 3^-3 would turn into a fraction, 1/3^3 which is the same as C.
