First, distribute the parentheses:
(-3 * 2.5) + (-3 * -k) + (.5 * 7) + (.5 * 8k)
-7.5 + 3k + 3.5 + 4k

Combine like terms:
(-7.5 + 3.5) + (3k + 4k)
-4 + 7k

I don't see an equal sign so it's not an equation, just an algebraic expression, which means that the answer is -4 + 7k

Which shows the solution of the combined inequality?
Sunny_sXe [5.5K]

Step-by-step explanation:

if there is no typo, or there are no parts missing, then

-1 <= 2-j < -5

cannot have any solution, because already for the outside limits -1 < -5 is impossible. -1 is larger than -5 !

Select all ordered pairs that satisfy the function y = 4x + 3
qwelly [4]

Answer:

see explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

To determine which ordered pairs satisfy the equation substitute the x coordinate of the point into the right side and if the value obtained equals the y coordinate of the point then it satisfies the equation

(- 1, - 1)

x = - 1 : y = - 4 + 3 = - 1 ⇒ (- 1, - 1) satisfies the equation

(2, 11)

x = 2 : y = 8 + 3 = 11 ⇒ (2, 11) satisfies the equation

(4, 7)

x = 4 : y = 16 + 3 = 19 ≠ 7 ⇒ (4, 7) does not satisfy the equation

(7, 1)

x = 7 : y = 28 + 3 = 31 ≠ 1 ⇒ (7, 1) does not satisfy the equation

10.5x = 7.5x + 30
10.5x - 7.5x = 30
3x = 30
x = 30/3
x = 10

10.5(10) = 105
7.5(10) + 30 = 75 + 30 = 105

they need to purchase 10 t-shirts from each company for a total of $105 for each company
