Always be aware of where the blade is and where your fingers are. Always cut away from your body. Pay very close attention to where you are cutting and look where you are cutting. Knives can hurt people if used carelessly.
Never point the knife towards your body and have supervision by an adult. Keep your area clear and make sure you can see what you are doing at all times. Never grab the knife by the blade and make sure you hand it with the blade pointing down. Never run with knifes or use them as toys. When you are finished put them in the sink to be washed.
