There are 2 main ways to calculate the mass of liquid. 
1. use a scale and a beaker. First measure the beaker and then add the liquid to it. Then subtract the weight of the beaker.
2. Or put the beaker on a scale and press tare. Then add the liquid and the result is your mass.

It is also for efficient for these smaller and miniscule cells to penetrate and travel, delivering and transporting goods and materials such as nutrients, oxygen and waste throughout the body without consuming enough energy and conserving lesser space.
For simple reasons, they are faster, more efficient and consumes little space, and most especially depletes lesser energy.
