Read the paragraph below. Soon after the moving truck departed, I made way next door to greet the new neighbors. A boy was playi

ng in th yard, and I greeted him and introduced myself. In response, the boy ducked his head and mumbled an inaudible reply. Though he smiled, he quickly retreated toward his mother on the porch. The boy seems to be rather shy, you can see this from how he ducked his head and blushed when you welcomed the family to the neighborhood.

Answer:

We can conclude that the boy is shy and uncomfortable in new situations.

Explanation:

The speaker of the text says that he will "greet the new neighbors" that means that the oradar is new in the neighborhood and people still do not know him. In the text he said, "A boy was playing in the yard and I greeted him and introduced myself." In response, the boy lowered his head and murmured an inaudible response.though he smiled, he quickly retreated toward his mother on the porch, "that shows that this boy who played was shy and felt uncomfortable with people he does not know.

VARVARA [1.3K]

Answer:

C. Ensue means "result from something";

Explanation:

In the case of this poem called The Faerie Queene, the word ensue indicates that there is a possibility for an unknown power to have originated from the Redcrosse Knight or the weapon he carries with him, as it comes after a supposedly secret virtue.
