What is the difference between the subjunctive and the conditional? I'm taking French and I know how to conjugate the verbs and

all that but I still don't understand what the difference between the two is.

Subjunctive is a mood that represents a denoted act or state not as fact but as contingent or viewed emotionally. Conditional is a subject to one or more conditions or requirements being met; made or granted on certain terms.
