To name the four modern countries once covered by Safavid Empire are: Iran, Azerbaijan, Armenia, most of Iraq.

The other areas included Georgia, Afghanistan and the Caucasus<span>, there were also some parts of </span>Pakistan, Turkmenistan and Turkey under their control. The Safavid Empire was one of the most strong dynasties of Iran and they ruled from 1501 to 1736.
