You can connect you keywords using three basic operators when doing a Boolean search: AND, OR, NOT. The AND operator, however, broadens your search. Using the AND operator, the database will only give you things that contain both key words. The OR and NOT operators narrow your search. Using the OR operator, the database will give you only things that contain just one of the keywords (or both of the keywords). By using the NOT operator, you can exclude a word when you search, which is helpful if a word has multiple meanings.
