1. Scientists believe the missing carbon has found a sink in the Northern Forest. Scientist have come up with this idea because they believe consequences of global warming contributed to significant extent to the northern forest carbon sinking processes. In addition to that, scientists describe a process where the oceans of the world sink carbon to create a balance of the ecosystem. That is why they are not 100% sure.

2. Scientists are not sure concerning their idea about the whereabouts of the missing carbon because half of the emission stays in the atmosphere directly resulting to global warming with the remaining percentage absorbed by oceans and plants. The idea still offers room for discussion because it is observed that forest and savanna grass also contribute to carbon sinking though not all of the remaining percentage could be accounted in this manner.

3. Well, I believe in 2017, the carbon emissions were ranked the highest. The records indicate that this year recorded 45 billion tons of all global emission of the gas due to human activities. This figure could be argued from the fact that 2017 recorded a 2% rise in fossil fuel combustion.  In a recent study on global emissions, China was identified as a major contributor to the growth of these emissions because of using coal as the major source of fuel.

How are flowering plants and conifers alike? A.They both have incomplete flowers. bThey both make fruits. cThey both reproduce b
Sveta_85 [38]

Answer:

cThey both reproduce by means of seeds.

Explanation:

This is because both flowering plants and conifers reproduce by seeds. Although Conifers are gymnosperms, and angiosperms are flowering plants but conifers grow their seeds naked, it often appear on the scales of a cone, instead of encased in fruit. The flowering plants seeds are encased in fruits. Both conifers and flowering plants are vascular plants that is they have vascular tissues which help them conduct water and nutrients

What type of dominance is a blending of the two alleles to make a phenotype somewhere between the parent’s phenotypes? a incompl
jekas [21]

Answer:

A. Incomplete dominance.

Explanation:

Incomplete dominance is the ability of two alleles to produce a heterozygous phenotype different from the two homozygous phenotypes.

Example is when a pure stock of red flowered (RR) four o'clock plant is been crossed with a white flowered(rr) one, the offspring are all pink flowered(Rr), showing a blending of flower colour character. Self pollination of the pink flowered F1 individual produce a mixture of F2 individual bearing red, pink and white flowers in the ratio of 1:2:1. This reappearance of the red flowered and white flowered forms in the F2 generation shows that alleles R and r have remained unaltered in the F1 generation.

Name the process by which the water balance in the body is maintained
xxTIMURxx [149]
The blood is filtered at a high pressure and the kidney selectively reabsorbs any useful materials such as glucose, mineral ions and water. After it has been purified, the blood returns to the circulatory system through the renal vein. The kidneys produce urine and this helps maintain water balance.
