The four ways that America prepared for WW2 was one they got the aid from the French. The other three ways are they had advanced weaponry such as the new age of the machine gun. Also, America had been undergoing new scientific discoveries with weapons. They had constructed new tanks and bombs that were more powerful than the ones they had to use before in WW1. America also took to the skies with better fighter planes and bombing planes. all these advancements in preparing for WW2 helped a lot when it came to fighting against the Germans.
