How does slope have an affect on soil formation

If their is a slope water runoff affects soil composition and distribution. Slopes will result in successful gardening if that's the purpose and with minimal erosion.Their is some ups and downs in having a slope. The down is,the soil may not get enough nutrients depending on how the slope is.
