Theme is the
fifth element of fiction that is as important as the plot and characters. It refers
to the idea or concept that the story is about. Theme can be universal in
nature that is why a story can be understood beyond barriers of race, location
and time. Common themes are love (erotic, filial, brotherly, patriotic, etc.), quest
(self, success, peace, etc.), and competition.
Each student can draw a different figure that is still a parallelogram because there are many types of parallelograms. Rectangles, squares, rhombi, and rhomboids are all parallelograms, even though they are different figures. It's like asking four students to draw an animal. Even if one student draws a cat, another student draws a dog, the third student draws a mouse, and the fourth student draws an elephant, they're still all correct because cats, dogs, mice, and elephants are still animals.
Hope this helps!
