Doreen is 3/4 mile from the Library.

Sheila is 1/3 as far as Doreen.

well, what's 1/3 of 3/4?  well, is simply their product, so (1/3) * (3/4) = 1/4.

meaning Sheila is 1/4 mile as far as Doreen.

well, Doreen is 3/4 of a mile away, so Sheila is then 3/4 + 1/4 = 1 whole mile away from the Library.

is Sheila farther than Doreen from the Library?

of course, 1 mile > 3/4 mile.

does Sheila live 1/4 of a mile from the Library?

well, you already know how far Sheila is, check above.

is Sheila twice as farther than Doreen?

Doreen is 3/4 mile away, Sheila is 1 mile away, 1 mile is not twice as much of 3/4.

The width of a rectangle is (5x + 2) inches and the length is (6x − 7) inches. Find the area of the rectangle.
Degger [83]

Answer:

<h2><u><em>30x² − 23x − 14</em></u></h2>

Explanation:

  • Area = Length · Width

Length: (6x - 7)

Width: (5x + 2)

  • Create An Equation

(6x - 7) (5x + 2)

= (6x + −7)(5x + 2)

(6x)(5x) + (6x)(2) + (−7)(5x) + (−7)(2)

= 30x² + 12x − 35x − 14

  • 30x² − 23x − 14

2. Calculate the energy in joules of a photon whose frequency is 7.55×1014 Hz.
igomit [66]
The energy of a photon is given by
E = h × v

where:
E is the energy in joules/photon
'h' is the constant 6.63 × 10⁻³⁴
'v' is the frequency 7.55 × 10¹⁴

Substitute 'h' and 'v' into the formula we have

E = (6.63×10⁻³⁴) × (7.55×10¹⁴)
E = (6.63×7.55) × (10⁻³⁴ × 10¹⁴)
E = 50.0565 × 10⁽⁻³⁴⁺¹⁴⁾
E = 50 × 10⁻²⁰ joules/photon

URGENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Blababa [14]

For this case we have that by definition, the circumference of a circle is given by:

C = \pi * d

Where:

d: It is the diameter of the circle

They tell us that:

d = \frac {35} {2}\\\pi = \frac {22} {7}

Substituting:

C = \frac {22} {7} * \frac {35} {2}\\C = \frac {770} {14}\\C = 55 \ cm

Thus, the circumference of the circle is 55 centimeters.

Find the first derivative of y = sin^2(cos2x)
AveGali [126]
Hello,

y=sin²(cos(2x))
y'=2*sin(cos(2x))*cos(cos(2x))*(-sin(2x)*2)
= -4*sin(cos(2x))*cos(cos(2x))*sin(2x)
