Looks like a christmas tree.

Each rRNA gene is surrounded by  growing RNA chains.
<span><span> The new RNA that just got synthesized is spread out on either side of the gene being transcribed.  </span>The first transcripts are shorter but as the transcription  progresses along the gene, they get longer and longer, that's why it looks like a Christmas tree.</span>
