After the launch of Sputnik, the United States created Advanced research Projects Agency in the month of February of the year 1958. The launching of Sputnik had several important aspects as well. this showed that it was possible for people to seek out and establish colonies in planes like Mars. Hypersonic travel can be made possible to improve certain defense related equipments. There were several others which showed the Americans that they need to step up to be a part of this race.
