Answer: C) Detachment.

Explanation: In the given excerpt we can see that the speaker is being beaten by the kapos (and this is apparently a common thing) and he is so used to and feels so hopeless and unmotivated that he says he don't even feel the pain anymore. This description gives the idea of detachment which is the act of separating, he separates his feelings from the situation he is living, so he doesn't really care anymore.

The life of Creonte is marked with these bad experiences due to his bad acts.
