Emotions are defined as feelings or signals that influence the mind in reacting to certain situations. Emotions are unique to humans and we have learned many ways on how to express emotions to other people and to our environment. We usually respond to our emotions accordingly but there are people that react negatively to emotions such as with apathy or doing nothing; or overexagerration; or using emotions as an excuse for assaulting others. People that react positively to emotions are aware of their emotional insights and aware that those insights are congruent with the situation. Positive reactivity also involves some defense mechanisms such as suppression wherein you don’t take an immediate action until you have thought of the possible outcomes of your emotional response.

Positive characteristics in responding to emotions in healthy ways include being emotionally stable, not letting your tide of emotions affect your life negatively. Another one is being empathic as as we understand our own emotions, we also learn to understand the emotions of other people thereby increasing our empathy towards others. Lastly, healthy emotion handling leads to overall mental health as this prevents people from developing anxiety and other neurotic disorders that may progress to depression, or ultimately psychosis.

Do you think your doctor will lose money once he starts submitting only electronic claims?
RUDIKE [14]
No, I don't think so. Once he start submitting electronic claims, the physician itself may notice that his/her money and time will be spent properly. It may also lessen the amount spent when sending a letter or parcels by mail and may lessen as well the supplies needed. And because electronic claim is actually paperless, in this procedure there is an assurance of financial savings not only for the physician but also for the payers.

Describe two things that you could do to help a friend with depression
olasank [31]

Answer:

Explanation:

1. Become informed

Not totally sure what depression is or what it means for your friend? A really great first step in helping your friend is to find out more about depression - which will help you better understand what they’re going through.

2. Be there to listen

If your friend feels like talking, ask them how they’re going. Try asking questions like, “What can I do to help?” and “What do you find helpful?” When you want to bring up a sensitive issue with a friend, try to choose a time and place when you’re both comfortable and relaxed. It’s a good idea to avoid talking to them about it if they’re upset.

3. Take their feelings seriously

If someone is suffering from symptoms of depression, it isn’t possible for them just to ‘snap out of it’, ‘cheer up’ or ‘forget about it’. When you listen to them and validate their feelings by saying things like ‘That must be really hard’ or ‘I’m here when you want to talk’, they’ll know you’re taking their feelings seriously.

4. Let them know about support services

If your friend has already seen a GP or mental health professional, that’s awesome. You could let them know there are also online and email counselling services. You could also recommend the Reach Out Next Step tool, which recommends relevant support options based on what the person wants help with.

5. Respond to emergencies

If you think your friend may be in danger or at risk of hurting themselves or someone else, seek help immediately. Call 000 to reach emergency services and also tell someone you trust.

6. Take care of yourself
