1. They are all happy with the event that happened. 2. They share friendship even with mixed races. 3. There races differs but they looked contented in their lives. 4. There are different life careers but they stayed as one friendship. 5. They are all proud of what they've become.
They are trying to look tough by angling the camera up from a low level. the man with his hands in his pockets in trying to broaden himself to show dominance. the clothing they wear is to make them look higher class. the ones in the back smile while the rest don't to make the emotions more noticeable. the brick wall behind them makes you assume they are at a low class place making you assume they are there to do something criminal or bad.
Well in this chapter its not one person who is not home. Bilbo gets everyone on an adventure so it the heat of the chapter i guess nobody is REALLY home.
