C. Even brave heroes need help from others.
Through deductive reasoning, we can conclude that the theme this passage most supports is that brave heroes also need help, we can see this in Gilgamesh's appeal for his friend's help in the following section: "If we help each other and fight side by side, what harm can come to us?". It is not correct to say that "It is better to face challenges alone." as this expresses the opposite of what Gilgamesh is declaring and we also can't conclude that "Boats that are built to last will never sink." because good preparation doesn't guarantee 100% safety and either way, it wasn't the focus of the passage.

Analyze Lakshmi's relationship with Anita. What might lakshmi experience have been like if Anita was not there?
atroni [7]

Answer:

Lakshmi's would have been battling depression and also would have been sold to another brothel if Anita was not there

Explanation:

What lakshmi experience would have been like if Anita was not there was that Lakshmi's would have been battling depression and also would have been sold to another brothel assuming Anita was not there

When Lakshmi first got to the brothel, she doesn't have the idea of what to think of Anita because she cannot tell from her always-frowning face if she is either being kind or cruel.

Anita appreciate very little in the world of the brothel, but Lakshmi is so dear to her and she values their friendship so much and the friendship works both ways

Anita doesn't kill herself even with her air of fatality and hopelessness. Her passion for Lakshmi was what caused her to saves Lakshmi from depression as well as being sold to another brothel after Shahanna is taken.

How does Kennedy’s word choice affect the tone and meaning of this excerpt from the passage?
BaLLatris [955]

The excerpt provided in the question belongs to a speech President Kennedy gave in West Berlin on June 26th, 1963. The President's word choices such as "failures", "world to see", "obvious", "offense against humanity" "dividing" help to set the tone and meaning of his speech. Kennedy addressed the audience in Berlin, but also the world, to express the support given by the United States to West Berlin against the wall that the Soviet Union had built. He uses repetition, for example with the word offense, to give a clear message on how the communist system is attacking the freedom of the world and of all of Berlin's citizens, and how democracy is the only solution to the separation of families and communities that want to be together.
