Answer:

160 cups of lemonade and 80 packages of cookies.

Step-by-step explanation:

l = lemonade

c = cookies

l+1.5c=280

2c=l

Substitute.

3.5c=280

Simplify.

c=80

Substitute into the second equation.

l=160.

Plug it back into the equations to check.

Solve the equation -3(x - 14) + 9x = 6x + 42. Does the equation have one solution, no solution, or infinitely many solutions?
natulia [17]

Hello!

\large\boxed{\text{Infinitely many solutions.}}

-3(x - 14) + 9x = 6x + 42

Distribute the coefficient of the parenthesis:

-3(x) - 3(-14) + 9x = 6x + 42

-3x + 42 + 9x = 6x + 42

Combine like terms:

6x + 42 = 6x + 42

Both sides of the equation are the same, therefore:

There are infinitely many solutions.

Graph the equation on the coordinate plane.
abruzzese [7]

Solution :

Given, the equation y=-2x.

To graph the equation on the coordinate plane, we first need to derive the different points of the equation  y=-2x,

at\:\;x=0\Rightarrow y= -2(0)=0\\\\at\:\;x=1\Rightarrow y= -2(1)=-2\\\\at\:\;x=2\Rightarrow y= -2(2)=-4\\\\at\:\;x=3\Rightarrow y= -2(3)=-6\\\\at\:\;x=-1\Rightarrow y= -2(-1)=2\\\\at\:\;x=-2\Rightarrow y= -2(-2)=4\\\\at\:\;x=-3\Rightarrow y= -2(-3)=6

The graph plotted using these points is shown in the figure,
