Solution:

As we know that ,there 52 playing cards in a deck

and 13 of that are spades

So probability of getting spade from a deck is ,

<em>P(spades)=total number of spades /Total number of cards.</em>

P=13/52

P=1/4

Similar for the second deck of card,

Required probability is that , getting spades from each deck

It is given by,

Required probability =Probability of spades in 1st AND Probability  of spade in 2nd deck

<em>As there is use of AND operator there should multiplication of two events,</em>

<em>Required probability =1/4*1/4</em>

=1/16
