In approaching this question I would suggest looking at the major advancements that have been made in legal rights for minorities and peoples of color and also the expansion of the right's and roles women take in the 20th and 21 centuries. Other areas to investigate and discuss could be the developments of technology which have dramatically changed almost all aspects of our lives including leisure, entertainment and many other areas. Also under the category of the family you could discuss the evolution and changes in the family in the 20th and 21st century especially with the definition of a family being expanded.
